  • 1 small pumpkin (steamed and mashed)

  • 3 tbsp Ship Brand Powdered Sugarcane (原蔗紅糖) – for the gooey black sesame filling

  • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 150g glutinous rice flour

  • 2 tbsp Ship Brand Raw Cane Sugar (原蔗糖) – for mixing into the pumpkin dough

  • White sesame seeds – for coating


🥣 Instructions

  1. Steam & mash the pumpkin. Let it cool slightly and mix in 2 tbsp raw cane sugar while still warm so it melts evenly.

  2. Make the filling: Mix powdered sugarcane, black sesame, and flour into a sticky paste. Set aside.

  3. Form the dough: Combine the pumpkin mash with glutinous rice flour until it forms a soft, stretchy dough.

  4. Shape & fill: Roll dough into balls, flatten each one into a disc, and spoon in the black sesame filling. Seal and reshape.

  5. Coat & pan-fry: Roll each cake in white sesame seeds. Pan-fry over low heat until golden and crispy on both sides.

  6. Serve warm. Enjoy the satisfying bite of crispy, chewy, and gooey perfection!
